CARE
We craft our pieces using genuine Italian leather, split velour and raffia. Working with materials that combine durability and delicacy, we understand the importance of proper care. It prevents damage, preserves the look and functionality of bags and accessories, and helps them last longer.
Important:
- We do not use lasers or automated cutting machines in our production—every detail of our bags is cut, stitched, and finished entirely by hand. Due to this manual process, no two bags are exactly the same. Small variations in seam lines — within a few millimeters — are a natural part of handmade craftsmanship.
- When photographing or filming our products, we strive to represent their colors as accurately as possible. However, the actual shade may vary slightly (by 1–2 tones) from what appears on the website due to lighting or your screen’s color settings. If needed, we can provide additional photos of the items.
GENUINE ITALIAN LEATHER
Our leather goods are made of genuine leather—a natural material in which variations in texture, color, and minor surface characteristics are normal. The appearance of the leather may change over time depending on storage conditions, frequency of use, and the individual habits of the owner.
It is important to note that hardware and leather components can be sensitive to mechanical impact. Friction against hard or rough surfaces often causes signs of wear, which are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under warranty.
When regularly caring for products made of Flotar textured leather, smooth Nappa leather, or glossy Nappalak leather, it is important to:
- Avoid contact with chemicals, wet wipes, oils, cosmetics, and perfumes, as they may leave stains that cannot be removed.
- Avoid excessive wetting of the product, as water can damage its appearance, cause deformation, or even slight color loss.
- If the product gets wet, let it dry naturally at room temperature, avoiding additional heat sources (such as hairdryers, radiators, etc.).
- Any type of dark leather can stain lighter items, but after a few weeks of active use, the leather will lose this property.
TAKE CARE
- For delicate regular care of Flotar, Nappa, and Nappalak leather products, choose soft cloths, microfiber, or special brushes for smooth leather.
- For home cleaning, we recommend using a universal leather foam cleaner and microfiber, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- When cleaning or using care products, avoid applying the product near hardware (zippers, fasteners) as this can cause changes in appearance or damage to metal elements.
- For additional moisture protection, you can use the NÚKOT raincoat (available in the Accessories section), which fits all sizes and models of NÚKOT bags, or a water-repellent product (our recommendation: Saphir Nano Invulner Protector).
SPLIT VELOUR
Genuine Italian leather – split velour is a type of genuine leather — a delicate material made from the lower layer of the hide after removing the smooth outer surface. As a result of this treatment, the surface of the material takes on a soft, velvety texture with a nap. Compared to regular suede, split leather is denser and rougher, but this makes it more suitable for items that need to retain their shape.
Split velour has an unprotected surface, so it requires more careful home maintenance.
- Before the first use, apply a protective spray for suede or nubuck.
- Items made of split velour may shed small particles of nap during the initial period of use — this is a natural characteristic of the material, not a defect. This reaction is due to the soft, napped texture of the surface, which gradually stabilizes over time. After 1-2 weeks of use, this effect almost disappears.
- Please note that dark and intense colors may transfer onto light-colored clothing of any material (cotton, denim, etc.).
- Light colors require careful use and regular maintenance to prevent stains at points where the product comes into contact with clothing or other items.
TAKE CARE
- When regularly caring for split velour products, it is important to avoid abrasive cleaners, as they can scratch or damage the leather surface. Use brushes specifically designed for gentle suede care.
- Regularly clean the surface with a soft brush — always in one direction to maintain the uniform texture of the material.
- Avoid contact with chemicals, wet wipes, oils, cosmetics, and perfumes, as they can leave permanent marks.
- Split velour is very sensitive to moisture: avoid direct contact with water or damp surfaces. Do not use suede or split velour products in rainy conditions.
- If the bag gets wet, let it dry naturally at room temperature, without using any additional heat sources.
- For additional moisture protection, you can use the NÚKOT raincoat (available in the Accessories section), which fits all sizes and models of NÚKOT bags, or a water-repellent product (our recommendation: Saphir Nano Invulner Protector).
CLEANING
- For at-home cleaning, we recommend using universal foam for suede cleansing and a brush designed for suede or nubuck, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
- For regularly used items, home cleaning is recommended once a month.
- When using the foam, clean the entire product, not just the areas with stains.
- Do not attempt to remove large stains yourself, and do not take the item to standard shoe or clothing dry cleaners. Professional cleaning should only be carried out by specialized workshops experienced in working with suede or split leather products.
Raffia
Our raffia bags are made of a material created by blending fibers: each model uses a different ratio of cotton and polyamide. This material is produced for us by a family-owned Italian factory located in the province of Florence.
Each piece of this material has a unique, soft texture, so the weaving on each bag may vary slightly. For our Clutch Bags, we use raffia with jacquard weaving, while Tote and Hobo Drop Bags are made of raffia using a more natural, artisanal technique.
Thanks to our partnership with the Italian supplier and the high-quality materials, we work with raffia that is both soft to the touch and durable enough for everyday use.

TAKE CARE
- Raffia bags are significantly more moisture-resistant compared to leather products; however, it’s important to avoid heavy soaking.
- If the bag gets wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature. Do not use external heat sources (such as a hair dryer, radiator, etc.).
- For gentle cleaning, use a soft damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Avoid machine washing.
Storage:
- Store natural leather or raffia products in a cool, dark place—away from direct sunlight, as it can cause fading.
- If needed, keep the bag in a fabric dust bag. Do not store leather items in plastic or paper bags, as this may cause color changes.
- To maintain the bag’s shape, it is recommended to store it filled and avoid any deformation. To prevent scratches or other marks from hardware and structural elements, place long straps or additional accessories (such as a key holder) inside the bag during storage.
- For split velour and raffia, it is not recommended to fold or compress the items during storage or transport.
